This unlabeled 4/4 Great Wall violin has a sound that is warm, round, and complex.
The back of this violin is formed from two pieces of quarter-cut maple, marked by a beautiful medium-narrow width flame, which slants slightly downward from the center joint. The wood on the ribs is similar to that of the back, while that of the scroll is much less highly flamed. The grain of the two-piece spruce top is straight, narrow, and even.
The instrument is covered with a warm, orange-brown varnish, over a light brown ground. The instrument is highly antiqued and shaded by the maker. It is in brand new condition.
